CANCELLED

It is with great sadness that I am writing to tell you that we will be cancelling our next residential due to low uptake and taking recommendations regarding the Corona Virus into account. The intersections of trans, queers and disabilities means a lot more of us are vulnerable/susceptible to infection and with the communal nature of our weekends, we have made the decision to postpone until next year.

Apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. We will take note of your details and get in touch when we have a new date for this event, which will likely be next year.

Thank you for your understanding

The TBA Team

Our Touch and Boundaries retreat will look into boundaries we set around our bodies, and how being trans affects that. By creating a space to help you understand what your healthy boundaries are, and how to enforce them, but still make those connections.

The boundaries we have are important in everyday life, because they help with defining the ‘self’. Once we define our own boundaries, we may become more aware of our own rights and how we deserve to be treated by others. Exploring and developing a clearer picture of our own needs, desires, and limits, allows us to celebrate our bodies in ways we want but also when we may need to seek help. Ultimately, boundaries also give us choices and control over what happens to us and our bodies.

Like all TBA retreats, this weekend will be rooted in the TBA principles of body positivity, sex and intimacy, and emotional wellbeing. This retreat will be for people of all trans and non-binary (enby) genders. We also very much welcome assigned-male-at-birth (amab) trans feminine and enby people but want to acknowledge that none of us on the team are amab, with that lived experience.

This retreat is not open to cisgender (not trans or non-binary) people, but if you require a personal assistant to come with you and they are cisgender, please talk to us. We want to do everything we can to make this accessible.
