11th - 13th May 2018
trans masc. only
Hathersage, Derbyshire
Bookings go live at 7pm on Thursday 29th March 2018

The Taboos retreat will explore the forbidden, the things that our communities and society at large tells us is not acceptable. Often the first thing that comes to mind with the word ‘taboo’ is sex, but as TBA has always been a sex and kink positive organisation with a strong model of consent, we want to delve further than that. Taboos affect us all, regardless of our gender and sexual identities, and they can be difficult to talk about even among a community that prides itself on open communication.

We invite you to bring your secret self to this retreat, where we will travel together into the land of taboo.

Like all TBA retreats, this weekend will be rooted in the TBA principles of body positivity, sex and intimacy, and emotional well-being. It is open to anyone who self-identifies as being on the trans masculine spectrum – eg. trans masculine, trans man, FTM, transgender man, transsexual man, genderqueer, non-binary, man with a trans history – and non-binary people who were afab (assigned female at birth – please see our FAQ for more information on this term, and our reasons for this focus) - click here.

Myself and my partner are interested in coming along. we are both trans men, both in different places in our transition.

What are the requirements for low wage? i work part time and have a lot of pre-exisitng costs but would really like to come along,

and then my partner is currently out of work, but has recently signed on with an agency. its 0 contracted hours, but is hoping to get some work. Is it possible to pay one low wage and one no wage and then if our circumstances are different closer to the time we will be more than happy to pay the leftover amount?

Also what is the room situation at this event, i.e what beds etc. obviosuly we would like to be in the same room. just wondered if they are large rooms with single beds. or if there are doubles etc.

i hope to hear back from you and book up for an amazing retreat.

my email address is

many thanks
